twisted hull

Posted by davidtudryn on Jul 14, 2007

(See attached link) I used to be a perfectionist. Now, just want to finish this kayak. I carefully performed the fillet operation and glassed the hull interior. As I finished up, I caught my clothes on the c-clamp I had been used to keep the panels together at the stern. Obviously I twisted the hull and never noticed until everyhting dried. Now I have a nasty twist in the bottom of the boat. Do you think I can fair it somehow? I tried to cut the seam and add additional epoxy in the stern, but no matter what I did, it wouldn't straighten. Any body have any thoughts on how to fix it? I was planning to paint the hull, but I don't think I can live with the twist, and I think it might not track right.
