Dave, I've just attached the deck to hull on my 1st of 3 Shearwaters. If this is your test fit then you should be able to adjust the wires for a better fit. If this is your final fit (deck and hull taped and/or glassed on inside), then you have some options. One is to sand the edge off. The another is to force the hull wider. I did that by cutting some dowel rods off and bpushing them in the hull. I had quite a change of shape between the test fit and the final fit up.
