Just to give an idea as to how much primer is sanded off, here is a picture of my Jimmy Skiff after I sanded the primer and washed away the dust. I was a little surprised to see just how many imperfections in the epoxy coat where filled by the primer. As John Beck said, many blemishes are not noticed until this point.
