Sunfish parts on SailRig?

Currently I'm in the process of completing a Chesapeake Triple. I also intend on building a SailRig MKII to go along with it. I've got the opportunity to get a sail(75 square feet), mast, boom and rudder from a Sunfish for a very good price. Any thoughts on whether this might work? I have to confess that I know little about sailing but I have heard that standard kayak rudders are somewhat indadequate for the SailRig on large kayaks. Any opinions one way or the other are greatly appreciated.
