I use a Thule rack (two bars) on my F150 extended cab to haul my WR18. Both on the cab, just like a rack on a car, but taller. The biggest challange was finding a rack compatable with the truck. I think there is some relative motion between the cab and bed of trucks - don't know if it hurts the yaks or not. Anyway putting the entire rack on the cab reduces the motion on the tied down boat.
