Thanks Norm! It's amazing the clutter you can hide when framing a shot. The other side of my shop is probably much more representative of most small shops.
The red oak bent easily without steam. I did use epoxy to glue it on, as opposed to a more 'temporary' bedding compound. I also used screws to hold the bow end and then removes them and filled the holes with thickened epoxy. The last image on the page from the link below shows the clamping.
