Chris,

I think you're on to something there.

I did the few that I've made with a curved SurForm scraper, and you may want to use one for the finishing touches after roughing-out with the power unit.

You can also end off with 80 grit sandpoaper for a consistant overall texture (to me it resembles terrycloth) and then use a heat gun to "seal" the surface.

If Kurt Maurer is around, he'll possibly input to this - as he's always experimenting with quick ways to do stuff.
