Thanks John for the tip and the info. Better to know this BEFORE applying.

I bought the Interlux Goldspar Satin Varnish from Jamestown Distributers. As you can tell from the question, I've never used it. (or any for that mater)

Since I also want to bright coat the top, i figure the inside a good practice run, but still would like to avoid serious goofs. (the top will be Interlux Schooner Varnish)
