Re: Sander discs

Garland, a ROM seems like overkill for sanding between coats. I put powered sanders away before the first finish coat of varnish or paint and do hand sanding for all finish work. I have found 220 is plenty fine for between coats. I use 3M gray scotch bright intended for sanding between coats with good success to knock off the gloss without removing much finish and it's easier to control along the chine and keel. The scotch bright doesn't clog like 220 grit paper does.
Good luck, John
