Hmmm. Beginning with the June 2002 release of the Mill Creek manual, pages 154 through 161 detail the application of deck fiberglass.

A Mill Creek 13 I built in 1995 and a Mill Creek 16.5 I built in 1996 are still going strong in our demo fleet without deck 'glass. However, there's no disputing that 'glassed decks are much more durable for only a very small cost in extra weight.
