Thanks Walt and everyone that replyed,

I kinda figured I couldn't cut anymore corners. This boat is more of a learning experience and I didn't want to destroy lots of expensive parts learning. Up to this point, it's really been going together fairly easy. I only had to redo one bulkhead and all four of the ~1 ft ends of the strips that get scarfed on.

I called LL Johnson and ordered enough plywood to finish my Chesapeake 17 and build a second C17. They're even going to ship it to their store in South Bend (about a 3.5 hr drive). I'm actually planning to move back to Michigan, so I may look at some properties and visit family in St Joe while I'm up that way.
