Re: Rice paper decals

I used Heavy Silky Paper (a synthetic rice paper type of medium) for my artwork on my WR18. HSP is the same stuff used to apply artwork in the surfboard industry. I airbrushed this design on the HSP, but have also ran it thru a printer, nothing colored yet, black only. I applied it under the cloth. When wetted out the HSP totally disappears. Re-appears when the epoxy is sanded, but disappears again under varnish. I found the HSP at a art store in my area, only one store carries it. The link has more details and photos of the steps.

Applying over the cloth, use run the chance of messing it up if you sand into it.
