Re: Replacing the Skeg Pi

Is it the wood dowel one? I was worried about that when the skeg kit used a wooden dowel as the pivot. It wouldn't take long for the skeg to wear through the epoxy coating in an environment of gritty mud/sand. Can a small right angle drill attachment work? At the hardware store there's a right angle attachment that's has two hex socket ends that can translate low power/speed work. Not the bigger one that has a regular chuck but a smaller one about 3/4" wide at the joint.
