The curve on the edges of the bottom panels are not that concave. I planed my to the mark with a block plane. You have to increase the cutting depth of the blade a little to reach into the hollows and then move the blade back in before cuting flats or convex areas. Holding the plane 45 degress to the direction of travel shortens the contact distance of the plane sole to help reach into the hollows. I used a fairing board to smmooth the edge after planing to create a fair edge. Be sure to keep the left and right panels clamped together (outside face to outside face) when you shape the edge.
