Take apart passagemaker

CLC, or anybody experienced with this boat: Just curious about the bulkheads where the boat splits in two - Are these just 9mm plywood like the other frames? Are there backing plates for the bolts that hold it together, or just washers? Could the nesting version be hung from davits? I know this defeats the purpose, I'm just wondering how strong the join is . . . . Could it "survive being filled with rainwater?" Thanks!
