I have the Happy Bottom pad in my West River and CH 17LT. My bottom is pretty darned happy. I actually spent 5 hours consecutive in it once paddling the Silver River in flood stage and not being able to get out of the boat. Both my wife and I could walk when we finally got back to the landing. It should fit just fine in the SH17 as the beam is only 1/4" different than my WR according to the specs.

The most comfortable seat I own right now is the Seairsports seat in my Sea Island. Five attach points, fully adjustable, arr arr.... You could actually put one in a sit in boat if you weren't concerned with a spray skirt.
