Or the deck beam was. The manual is right about placement of the bulkheads, care must be taken, however, to make sure the distance between the deck beam and aft bulkhead accomodates the coaming, as was pointed out. As the deck beam is put in place after the bulkheads the best thing to do is use your top coaming ring to get the exact distance before installing the deck beam. Just lay it on top of the aft bulkhead and place the deck beam under the front edge in the appropriate place. Check it again before the epoxy sets.

Good advice on the endpours. Either don't fill the entire space to allow for expansion or decide ahead of time to do it in two pours.
