I've not heard of much success in tinting epoxy. Solvent-based tints for epoxy exist, but you have to mix so much into the epoxy to actually change the color that the epoxy becomes thick as syrup. And thick epoxy is impossible to 'glass or coat with.

I think you need to stain the wood before you apply epoxy if you want to change the color of the wood. Using a reddish varnish like Cetol works a little bit but isn't especially attractive.
