Re: Just Dreaming...

I am thinking that if goals are indeed dreams with deadlines. Then why not start out with a short list of achievable goals and go from there.
In my case, I am building the Passagemaker Dingy. It will be for my sail boat that I keep on Muskegon lake in western Michigan. As far as the market goes, I recently sailed into Boot Key Florida and found over 200 sailboats anchored or out on mooring balls. Each one had either a hard shell dingy or an inflatable. With the price of a decent inflatable well over $2,000 there should be some market.
The other goal that I have is to teach the skills required to build one of these wonderful little craft. Skiffs, kayaks and small prams all make great projects for community education programs.
I also found a fellow in my area who has a shop dedicated to building small boats. He has built a fair # of CLC boat kits and is willing to guide me through the process.
