Tom, I'm trying not to make light of your mis-adventure, but the photos made me laugh out loud.

I used MAS on my CH16 with a standard wood flour thickened mixture. It will definitely overflow of its own volition. So your adding the styrofoam probably didn't contribute much to the mess.

The good news is that it will all clean up.
