Dovetails

Camper's remark about dovetails got me thinking...

While puzzle joints are really the province of the CNC machine, a joint done with butterfly dovetails would be do-able by the home builder with a razor saw, and would look pretty fancy. The inserts should probably be plywood, but might be stained a contrasting shade. I'm tempted to try it in on some scrap plywood.
