It sounds like you are really tough on boats. Here's another option:

Sand down to get rid of the worst scratches. Put on a layer of 6oz. cloth. During the final coat mix in some graphite powder (available from West System or System Three...follow their directions on application). Then you will have a bomb-proof baby-skin smooth bottom that will last a long time. It works very well on driftboats which take alot more abuse than kayaks. It would make your kayak's hull bottom expedition quality.

Hope this helps. The ONLY thing more durable would be to put Kevlar cloth on.
