Before the white man came to Ohio it was covered with trees from Lake Erie to the Ohio River. Ohio still has vast stores of desiduous trees which are cut for lumber. And neighboring Pennsylvania has more. If you are within a convenient drive of the Amish mills near Millersburg and Berlin you should be able to get what you need or a suitable substitute. Homestead Hardwood in Vickery sells boat lumber and marine ply,too. The folks who are knowledgable about ply on frame construction gather at this site;
