Pre-application & squeegees good, wax paper bad.

Wax is a mold release agent, it repels epoxy and it's not bonded to the paper all that well. The result can be bits of wax stuck in your lamination, which then dissolve when the epoxy reaction goes exothermic. 4 mm polyethylene drop cloth avoids this problem. Wax has no business being anywhere near an epoxy/glass lamination, anymore than do tack rags.
