Which boat?

Hi all, I have been a reader of this forum for a while and am building two 12' canoes as my first project. I ahve always wanted a kayak but family, with 2 dogs, seems that a rowing vessel is what we really need. Question is, which one. I love the looks of the Chester Yawl, but can't tell if its big enough to carry 2 adults and 2 dogs with camping gear for a weekend. I also love the skerries lines and as a CLC outside shot, the Jimmy skiff. The other boat I am looking at is the Pygmy Wineglass Wherry. None of these will be sailing vessels, just rowing, camping, fishing, day tripping boats. Help and any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance. John
