Re: Should I build a CLC

I would build a CLC boat again. It's the one thing I ever made for my wife that she actually treasured. I built a Kayak. It's an elegant design. Just remember that boatbuilding is 90% sanding. You'll need a place where it's ok to generate all that dust.

The downside is you can't get repairs at your local marina. Plan on fixing it yourself if it breaks. I'm dealing with that right now after a storm blew the kayak off my deck.

But between vendors? CLC is tops. Really excellent designs and really good instructions. Don't worry about not having extensive woodworking experience. I didn't.
