George,

Thank you very much for your reply. Lots of good information provided. I'm thinking now that I might be able to pull something like this off. Right now I am slowly working on the strip deck of a Shearwater Hybrid. Do you think veneer onlays could be incorporated on a strip deck? (It might be a way to hide places where the strips don't fit so good.)
