Not exactly an answer to your question, but maybe of some help. I pulled all of the glass off of my deck and re-glassed it....... and I was able to remove my coaming and save it. I just used a pull saw (the kind that has no offset on the teeth and a fairly flexible blade), laid it flat on the deck and very carefully cut through the bottom coaming ring. Was less of a hassle than I expected, but I did lose just a tiny bit of height for the coaming, and in hindsight I wish I had replaced this height with a thin layer of okoume.

I can't see it as any shortcoming on CLC's part that they do not have a ready answer to your question, I've never in any context heard them claim to be a supplier of custom-built boats, they are a supplier of boatbuilding kits, designs and supplies. Their long-term success in a very difficult and competitive niche field is more than adequate testimony to their exemplary customer service.
