George pretty much nailed it as far as the onlay process. The only difference in my application is that, I leveled the area around my designs before putting on the deck cloth. I used a foam brush to build up epoxy around the design without getting it on the onlays. It takes 2-3 coats to build up and level the area surrounding the design. Then the deck glass was applied and finished the same way the hull was. Just make sure you sand between build up coats for proper adhesion of the deck cloth. I'll try to upload some pics of the our Chesapeake double. They show the process better than what I have loaded now in my PB albums.-Joey
