Re: bamboo strips?

From what I gather out of this site is that the strips are extremely thin and when sandwiched together are made into a plywood, of sorts. Is this bamboo plywood available in sheets, say 4x8 to make cut outs and therefore a S&G kayak or canoe? What would the cost be compared to okoume? Interesting and would make a beautiful boat.
