to thicken polyester resin. Works exactly the same way as with polyester resin. The suggestion to lay in some glass is a good one too if the damage is deep. If less than about 1/4 inch and fairly narrow, I wouldn't bother. You can squeegee some plastic or waxed paper over the resin after you put it in, to reduce the sanding later. The waxed paper will give you some wax on the surface you'll need to clean off, but the finishing resin will have wax in it anyway so no difference.
