Epoxy

I am to the point of applying epoxy to the inside. The manual says to apply the 2nd coat within 8 hours. This seems kind of early. My garage needs heat and it is about 63 degrees. Should I adhere strictly to the manual or wait till the epoxy is no longer sticky?
