Matt, I use a modified #3 like Chris. I glue the spacers together, pop them off to sand the outer edge. I also put a coat or two of epoxy to seal the outside of the spacers, because it's very hard to get a smooth coat of epoxy on them when the stack is glued to the deck. I also coat the underside of the rim prior to the final assy. The clamping pressure is greatly reduced because the spacers are pre-formed to the deck and it doesn't take that much pressure to bend the coaming rim. After that smooth out the inside of the coaming stack, I round over the inside edge a lot to make it more comfortable. Here's a pic of my inside edge profile (hopefully).-Joey
