Re: bamboo strips?

My two cents as well... I have hardwood floors in my home. It actually took several years to find anyone with bamboo in my area, but now it is fairly common. Bamboo is very hard, strong and durable. one of the selling points, at least for flooring, is that it is very stable; it does not swell or contract much with changes in humidity. Milled flat (as it must be for floors) it is a very attractive hardwood and the knuckles show up very nicely through varnish.
Go for it. Cheers, Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada www.tomoverton.myphotoalbum.com
