Screws through Nylon Web.
Posted by Monterey Matt on Sep 18, 2006
My semi-ignorant question of the day. These have to be coming to an end because I'M ALMOST DONE!!!!
I've got my 4" nylon webs cut to size and burned/sealed at the ends, and my epoxy is dry enough to screw into.
Query: do I simply try to screw right through the nylon, or should I start a hole with a hot knife or awl or something?
It's one thing to make a hole in the nylon, it's another thing to make it in a way that's going to prevent the nylon from chafing/wearing under stress.
It seems moderately more important for the hatch straps than for the bungee cord loops.
