Chris raises an interesting point. Unfilled epoxy penetrates better than filled. My assumption when doing wood-to-wood joins is that the mix should be runny enough to drip off the end of the mixing stick, so it can still penetrate the wood. Some epoxy gurus (Goudgeon) advocate pre-coating joints with unthinned, then gluing with filled goop before the pre-coat cures. Any of you doing this?
