John, I have not sailed in an Easport Pram, but have in boats of similar size. Squashing yourself into odd positions is usual in small boats! As you will have seen from the photos, the pram is pretty flexible, and allows for different seating combinations. When sailing, if you like a dry posterior, it's probably good to both sit on the center thwart. The helmsman sits to windward, legs angled aft, crew in the middle, or to leeward, facing forward. This is also optimal from a weight distribution point of view, as it will reduce pitching in waves. When you tack, the helsman stands (crouches) and plonks himself down on the crew's other side, keeping a grip on the sheet and tiller throughout. Other configurations mean one or both of you will be sitting on the floor (not that there's anything wrong with that).
