Re: Homebuilt seats in MC
Posted by Don Stucke on Aug 16, 2006
I'm just about done with my 2nd Mill Creek 16.5 and on the new boat decided to try something different for the seats. I liked the visual style of the original seats but our backs suffer from them. I used the kit slats but ripped them in half then glued them back together in a curved mold, I also made new side supports that are much taller and have a different contour. The new hight is designed to work better with our life jackets which also provide some padding for the back. The boat launches next week so we'll see if they are an improvement or worse than the originals....
