Yup, I'm in agreement with the others on this. My boat has plenty of oopses. You're likely the only one to know. I definitely like the accent stripe idea to cover the microballoons.

You weren't missing much by skipping the 220 sand. I found out when I hit that point that I have a bad reaction to fine wood dust. All over my skin. I had to finish sanding in the summer heat wearing a tyvek suit, safety glasses, respirator, latex gloves. Unreal sweating.
