Re: Kayak Seat

I started paddling at 33 with a background in cycling. After owning three boats, working at a kayak shop and figuring out what it takes to address pinched sciatic nerve it become pretty obvious that manufacturers can't sell something that fits everybody and addresses the significant minority that will have numb legs in 20min of paddling. So it's up to the paddler to make it work.

Large manufacturers are getting better at improving show room comfort and making a seat for the first 30 minutes for an unconditioned paddler to improve sales but it's a clue when you look at the boats of avid paddlers that carved minicell seats are more common than manufactured ones.
