Treat the glue-up as the point of no return. It is possible to fix mistakes after the glue-up but, it's no fun. I always linger at the wiring stage till I'm plenty certain I won't get it any better. And, no matter how the panel fit looks, I'm always very sure the hull is straight and each side is as identical as possible. Nobody wants a paddleboat that crabs to one side. Don't be in a rush. Particularly if this is your first hull.
