3D scanning
Posted by susan on Jul 24, 2006
We are looking into the market for 3D scanning (creating a 3d cad model using a specialized scanning system) for Kayak manufacturers. There have been a few sales into this industry because of its speed in replacing manual measurement to allow a user to recreate a part digitally in a few minutes with dimensions accurate to about 0.004 of an inch. However I am wondering what kind of interest there is industry wide for this kind of thing? Any input?
