Thanks for the photo. From where I sit, everything is in order. The deck won't break.

A methodical approach to fastening the deck helps things along. What I do is to start nailing at the forward bulkhead. Put about six nails on one side in front and behind the bulkhead, then six on the other side. Fill in the nails heading towards the bow, about six per side. (This keeps you from building in a bubble in the deck.) When you're finished with the section forward of the bulkhead, finish the fasteners from the bulkhead back to the butt joint.
