Bill,

you cannot bend plywood in two directions at the same time. You should not have scarfed the deck pieces. The correct proceedure is to BUTT join the pieces after they have both been fixed to the boat.Cut the pieces apart again at the line of the scarf on the top surface and then fit them to the boat one at a time.Hope this helps. -Robert
