Bulkhead Woes
Posted by Tim M. on Jun 20, 2006
Here's a couple of pictures of the forward bulkhead on my CH 16LT. It's currently placed an inch aft of where it should be and I had to trim the sheer notches to get it to fit there. I expected a bit of a gap, I experienced it on the last boat I built, but I'm confused by the irregularity of this gap. You can see that the bottom panels follow the bulkhead nicely, but the panels are wider than the bulkhead. The side panels are nowhere near the correct angle to fit the bulkhead. To me, it looks as if the bulkhead is incorrect for this boat. Any advice? Thoughts? Ridicule? :p
