Vacuum and then wash the hull. If the swirl marks still show you have a slight possibility that they will show. Probably not. If you wet sand between each of about three coats of varnish you will probably never see them. On your next boat change your paper more often. Clogged paper is the biggest cause of swirl marks. I personally just use an ROS with 150 grit before varnishing. Also hooking up a shop vac or dust collector to your ROS will increase the paper life abuot 30%
