White nails and spots

I just finished sanding the entite kayak with 80 grit on my ROS. Everything went well except that the on 5 or 6 of the bronze nails hold ing the deck not have white heads and not bright like they were before I started sanding. They look terrible. I also have very tiny white spots on the deck that don't seem so wipe away even with a little water on a rag. The deck has 4oz. cloth on it along with West System epoxy and 207 hardener. Has anyone else had this problem and is there anything i can do to fix it?.
