Painting/varnishing

Hi,

I've just applied the third coat of International Goldspar varnish to the decks of our Chesapeakes. How many coats do people recommend for the varnish and also how many coats of Brightside paint for the hull. I intend to use the International Pre-Kote primer prior to painting. It states in the instructions to using the paint/ varnish to sand between coats with 400 wet and dry, it doesn't mention what to do after the final coat to give the surface a nice glossy finish any recommendations?
