Brett we must be at about the same place in constrution I was just searching this site for a better way to tie knots in the deck rigging. Look in the tips for boat building section of this web site there is is a lot of good info for deck rigging,knots,fasting straps ect. Also the customer built boats has a bunch of pictures of what other people have done. As far as drill,fill,drill approach over kill or not I've got to much time in it now to take a chance on a water stain. It's getting so close I can almost feel the water splash in my face. Hard not to take short cuts.
