Coaming in stages
Posted by Chris J. on May 4, 2006
I'll be starting my coaming installation on my CH16 this weekend. I've read a few postings where the coaming was assembled in stages with plastic on the deck. I like this idea and I'm not in a hurry. If I start with clamping one set of spacers (one side), will they hold their shape when I unclamp them? My plan is to clamp up one side of spacers, remove them, do the other side then clamp the rim onto the halves. I would then clean up the coaming before finally clamping the whole assembly onto the deck....sound logical?
Thanks
Chris
